Bathroom Cleaning Hacks
1) Chrome Fixtures
Use lemon to get rid of water spots on your chrome fixtures. Cut a lemon in half and rub it over the chrome. You will almost instantly see the water spots disappear.
Another quick hack is baby oil. Apply the baby oil on a soft cloth and rub it on the chrome fixtures. This will give them a shine and make them look brand new.
2) Toilet Bowl
Pour a mixture of 1/4 cup baking soda, and 1/4 cup white vinegar in the toilet bowl and let it sit for 15 minutes. Once the fifteen minutes are up scrub the toilet with your brush cleaner and then flush.
3) Clogged Drains
Drop 4 Alka-Seltzer tablets down the clogged drain and 1 cup of distilled vinegar. Allow the tablets and the vinegar to sit for 10 minutes. Once the 10 minutes are up pour boiling water down the drain.
This will take very little effort and work wonders if it’s not a severe clog. Doing this about once per week will keep it from building up to be a serious blockage.
4) Tub
Spray your tub with your cleaner and allow it to sit per the cleaner’s instructions. Once you are ready to scrub take the drill bit attachment off your drill and replace it with a cleaning brush. Using the drill to scrub the tub will cut your scrubbing time in half.
Another tub hack if you don’t want to use chemicals cut a grapefruit in half and sprinkle it with salt. Wet the tub and sprinkle salt in the tub and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Once it sits for a few minutes use the half of the grapefruit that you sprinkled with salt and use it as your scrubber.
5) Soap Scum
Spray cooking spray on shower doors, walls, and anything you see with soap scum. Let the cooking spray sit between 5-10 minutes to allow it to cut through the scum. Once you allow it to sit rinse it with soapy water.
